Damixa think about water in an innovative way

The Arc tap series from the Danish company Damixa signifies innovation and has received international recognition with two prizes for design and functionality. The series now comes in a range of colours and suits the style of the modern house.

Why should water only run downwards from a tap? The Arc tap from the Danish company Damixa has changed this notion. With this tap the nozzle can be turned so the water flows upwards which means one can easily drink water from the nozzle. The tap’s arm can also turn from side to side as well as up and down, so it is easy to get into the corners of the washing, when cleaning or filling a bucket with water. ‘The tap series’ many functions and stylish design have been awarded the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Product Design Award, and we have just launched an updated version which fits perfectly in the modern house, where there may usually be beautiful colours in some of the interior decoration,’ says Berit Linde Jessen, Marketing & Brand Director at Damixa.

White and red – about to change

The Arc tap series now includes a pure chrome version and a version in chrome which has a black, soft synthetic material in the tap and nozzle. In addition one can purchase a detachable synthetic coating in white and red that the consumer can change very quickly and easily. If interest is great, Damixa will later launch several other colours. Thus the tap can change its appearance, when one has the desire to change colours and styles in the kitchen or bathroom.

Simple and minimalist

Jakob Jensen is the designer at Damixa and the creator of Arc. His job was to design a beautiful, simple and functional tap series.

‘I was pre-occupied with incorporating the many function options with a simple and minimalist appearance which is so characteristic of good, Danish design. As a result Damixa used a joystick tap for the first time, and I provided a soft synthetic material. The soft material is pleasant to touch and clearly indicates how one operates the product,’ explains Jakob Jensen.

The new colour options should help to make Arc a modern classic, which infuses the house with exciting details.
