Classic and elegant kitchen fittings
The Danish company Damixa are currently introducing completely new kitchen fittings, called Osier, to the market, where design is focused on a minimalistic, classic and elegant look without compromises being made to functionality and with regard to the environment.
‘The Osier kitchen fittings are a perfect example of good Danish design that we are known for around the world. We have created Osier on the basis that the fittings should be pleasing to the eye and good to use in everyday life,’ says Berit Linde Jessen, Marketing & Brand Director at Damixa.
Besides being minimalistic and classic, Osier fulfils its requirements for working in a kitchen or utility room. The tap is high so one can fill water in a large pot in the kitchen or fill a bucket in the utility room without difficulty. Osier is available with three different taps that give the fittings their own look. In addition the outermost part of the tap on one of the models can be rotated so one can easily get the washing clean.
Also available in brushed steel
‘At Damixa good Danish design must go hand in hand with super functionality. In the first version Osier is available in chrome, but will soon be followed by a version in brushed steel. In addition we have supplied the fittings with an anti-scald function that can easily be turned on if you have small children and want to ensure that they will not burn their fingers,’ says Berit Jessen.
The environment and energy consumption has also been considered; therefore the fittings have been conceived with a ‘cold start’. When one turns on the Osier tap normally, it will provide cold water. It is only when one turns the tap forwards that warmer or hot water comes out. This function saves money on water bills as many people only turn on the water when they wash their hands. Ultimately, with this function the individual can also save a significant amount of water, if one wishes to,’ states Berit Jessen.
An Osier tap for the kitchen or utility room is supplied as standard with the particular X-change unit that Damixa has devised. The X-change unit makes it extremely easy to change fittings in the future. As soon as the X-change unit is installed, one can replace the Damixa fittings in 20 seconds; with only the help of an Allen key.
Even though a lot of time has been spent on design as well as functionality, Osier can be obtained at a very competitive price.
