Lyra and Elara

The two new members of the Damixa family, Lyra and Elara, are boosting sales expectations for the Danish tap manufacturer on the European market. At the same time, Damixa is introducing a broader and more competitive range in the volume segment.

Lyra and Elara are the first two members of a brand new generation of kitchen and bathroom mixer taps from Damixa which will appeal to European consumers. “If we look closely at current market trends, consumers are demanding mixer taps with high spouts, especially for kitchen taps. The trend is also for the more angular design which Elara represents. For these reasons, we expect a lot of the two series on all our markets, including Denmark.”

More in the pipeline

Lyra and Elara are the first tangible examples of Damixa’s new generation, which was launched in 2007. “The purpose of Lyra and Elara is to develop stable and competitive products for the volume segments and for project sales. Our focus with these two products has been stability, few parts (to keep maintenance to a minimum), high quality and, not least, consumer needs. These will also be the keywords for future products in the new generation, and they will all be developed for specific market segments.”

Functionality, design and technology

Lyra and Elara closely resemble each other, however without being identical. The high spout, distinctive lines and modern style represent Damixa’s prizewinning design which always focuses on functionality, design and new technology. Another feature of the new products is the use of more standardised cartridges, which ties in with Damixa’s strategy of using the same spare parts in several products, facilitating maintenance for plumbers in particular as they therefore do not have to carry as many spare parts. Basically, the new strategy makes it easier to manufacture and easier to maintain our products.
